Preface

First of all, thank you for using our QL SENSOR series weighing sensor!

The company provides products include: various types of weighing sensors and display instruments, transmitters, and systematic solutions.

If you are the first user of this weighing sensor, please read the instructions carefully before working.

This specification applies to all products in the QL SENSOR family, with additional instructions.

 

To inform the user

The sensor is best used with the digital instruments produced by the company. For some special instruments and accessories, please consult the supplier or the company first.

 

Do not pull the sensor cable vigorously at any time, otherwise the failure is not covered by the warranty!

Please read the following instructions carefully before use, the damage caused by improper operation does not belong to the scope of warranty!

 

1. Scope of product use

The QL SENSOR series weighing sensor produced by the company, it has excellent load characteristics, temperature characteristics, full sealing corrosion resistance, overload resistance, excellent moisture-proof performance, high performance explosion-proof, compact structure, wide range of use and other characteristics.

It can be used in all kinds of electronic belt scale, quantitative coal feeder, hopper scale and other large industrial electronic weighing device, equipped with all kinds of high-precision weighing display instruments, automatic instruments and large screen display equipment and other special electronic weighing equipment.

It can not only be used in agricultural production, storage, industrial and mining, trade, materials processing and other enterprises and institutions, but also widely used in transportation, scientific research and industrial projects supporting projects.

Convenient installation, durable, especially suitable for the harsh working environment and dust explosion-proof requirements.

 

2. Working principle and circuit diagram

The weighing sensor is composed of elastomer, resistance strain gauge affixed to it and AD circuit board.

The external force acts on the elastomer, which is elastically deformed. The resistance strain gauge attached to the elastomer is also deformed accordingly.

The output signal of the bridge circuit composed of strain strip changes, and its output is the volt voltage signal. At the same time, the AD circuit samples the analog signal and A / D conversion, and performs the data processing and the corresponding digital compensation measures, so as to minimize the output error. By adjusting the internal input resistance, the signal can be changed according to the requirements.

4. Installation steps

1) After opening the package, check whether the range of the sensor is consistent with the package, whether the appearance has deformation or other bad phenomena caused by transportation.(Minor scratches or color error in appearance is a normal phenomenon in the production process and does not affect the normal use of the sensor)

2) Fix according to the corresponding installation method of the product, check whether the sensor is installed correctly, and test according to the correct voltage and range.

5. Notes and instructions

1) Untrained personnel are not allowed to operate, clean, check, maintain, repair or modify the equipment. Be sure to disconnect the equipment before cleaning or performing maintenance.

Only qualified personnel are allowed to repair the equipment. Be careful during power checking, testing and adjustment. Failure to comply with the above precautions can cause personal injury.

2) When welding the scale, please put the grounding wire clip to prevent the welding current from transmitting to you through the weighing sensor. Please make the welding equipment as close to the working ground as possible. Do not weld within 4 feet (1.2 m) of the weighing sensor without its removal.

3) Common faults occurring on the site

Q1:The display data is unstable and jumping during no-load or weighing process.

After the sensor, junction box and meter are disconnected from the power supply, re-power them up to see if they automatically return to normal.

Q2:Zero drift

Check whether the cable between the sensor and the junction box and meter is broken or damaged, and reconnect the connector if it is connected with the connector.

Q3:No display after loading

Check whether the power supply is stable and whether the power supply voltage is normal.

Q4:The display data is too big when no load.

When using multiple load cells, check whether each load cell is in contact with the loaded object.

Q5:The display data does not return to zero after weighing.

The green and white output wires of the load cell are disconnected from the junction box or meter; use a multimeter to measure the mV value. The junction box or meter needs to keep power supply. From the measured mV value to determine whether it is a sensor failure.

Q6:Large weighing error

Cut off the power supply, disconnect the sensor input and output lines (four-core cable) from the junction box or meter; use a multimeter to measure the resistance value of input (red, black) and output (green, white), no resistance value can be directly judged as a fault of this sensor, and judge whether the resistance value is normal against the certificate or manual.

 

The weighing sensor using the strain gauge is very sensitive to detect very subtle changes in weight. The technique is to make sure that they respond only to the weight you want to measure and not to other forces. To obtain an accurate weight reading, you must carefully verify the way and where the weight is applied to the weighing cell. Theoretically, the mounted load sensor is to be applied vertically over the entire weight range (see Figure 5-1).

 

To achieve the desired weighing effect, the weighing vessel and weighing sensor support need to be kept horizontal and parallel, and must be extremely firm. If the tank scale and its structural support are carefully designed and installed, then the scale can achieve an ideal load application. If the scale is not installed correctly, multiple forces can affect its accuracy.

6. Use the working environment

General corrosion protection situation, radio frequency interference, lightning strike and electrostatic phenomenon. The operating temperature of the operating environment is-20℃ ~ + 70℃.

7. Safety precautions

1) The input voltage is at 5V~12V, if below 5V may lead to abnormal output, and if higher than 12V may damage the sensor.

2) A strong impact force at the loading end may cause permanent damage to the sensor.

3) Mechanical collision and friction may lead to reducing the measurement accuracy and service life of the sensor.

4) The disassembled sensors may not receive a good warranty.

8. Maintenance matters

9. After-sales service

After-sales service is not available in the following cases:

Incomplete product structure, any reverse engineering or unauthorized disassembly, modification, or appearance damage that obviously affects the safety, reliability, function and performance of the product. Storage and use conditions do not meet the specified requirements, resulting in failure or loss of accuracy
